Report

After two weeks of the regular season, the COVID-19 Coronavirus Pandemic caused the cessation of all sporting activity after 9 March 2020. After a four month layoff, the restrictions were lifted, and Major League Soccer decided to start over in six groups of four, roughly arranged geographically, keeping the Eastern and Western Conferences, with each sub-divided into three groups of four.

The League restarted on 7 July 2020, and teams will play home and away within their own group, before the playoffs.

Report

After just one week of the season, the COVID-19 Coronavirus halted play after the 8 March 2020. Four Months later restrictions were lifted, allowing a return to play on 12 July 2020, with the United Soccer League making the decision to reduce the length of the season.

The 35 teams in the USL Championship were divided into eight regional groups, with the top two from each group qualifying for the last 16, where it would be knockout from there onwards. Week 1 results still counted in the standings along with a home and away match against each other team in a teams group.

Report

The 1992 Under 18 European Championship Finals were held in Germany, with a straight knockout format used for the eight qualified teams.

Turkey won the tournament beating Hungary 3-0 in the Quarter-Finals, Norway 2-1 in the Semi-Final, and Portugal 2-1 after extra time, in the Final. Turkey’s Under 18s had played 28 matches over the previous 30 months, winning 13, drawing 8 and losing 9.

It vindicated the youth policies of manager Serpil Hamdi Tuzun, who combined work at the National Level with his job on the coaching staff of Besiktas under Scot Gordon Milne. Mustafa of Galatasaray scored four of the goals in the Finals, but the winner in the final came from substitute Takan, who played for Third Division Club, Karagumruk.
